is there a way to get a list of my coins by the rarity index number?

Not unless you manually add the NRI for each coin in your export excel file.

Welcome to numista. Happy to have you amongst us.

I'm just curious, but what would you use that for?

Hi Sjoelund

I have 2000-3000 foreign coins in me collection, most of which have little value above face value.   I could go through them individually but that would be laborious and really not provide any useful information or additional value  However, the coins that are more rare I would highlight to indicate so.  That might be only 5% of the collection but it would add some interest and points of discussion.  In other words, I am curious.

Thanks for your quick response

Don't you think the mintage per year compared to the population of the country, would be a better indicator?

It's already been done…NRI

NRI is an indication of how rare a coin is among Numista members.  It is not an indication of overall rarity or low mintage.

close enough…any idea of the population of Argentina in 1879 and the mintage of a 40 centavos fuertes (36/2789)?

Does it matter why the OP wants to see it for each coin or what he plans to do with it?  Most everything else about a coin can be included in the exported excel file. Why not the NRI too?  If you don't want it in the excel file don't click that box.  Others have asked for it.  Xavier has rejected adding it without explanation.

2.42 million.  😉

I agree…so if I were to divide 2,400,000 by the mintage (that I don't know) how would that tell me the number of coins left in circulation 150 years later…the index number is close enough for me…it's pretty rare and worth the price

Yup, but it would not depend on the amount of owners in Numista!

statistically that's a pretty good sample size though
