Hi, does anyone recognise the mouse or initials on this token ? Believe it to be post Tudor, British, but that’s about all …. Some kind of trade or pub token ?

weight - 6g

size - approx 24mm

mouse on one side and initials EHR on the other,

many thanks

Could be a ‘hop token’ -

they usually had the initials of the farmer on one side,

and a design or number on the other.

Mostly used in Kent, England for counting how many bag of hops,

used in the brewing industry, a worker picked. Other industries used them.
