There are currently 22 coins issued by Benin that are listed as fantasy currency. However, they have recently been assigned KM numbers. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I believe that these items should be moved to the coin catalog, but I don't know enough to say for sure. Input would be appreciated.

Just looks like coins (curious what coins are being used!) with two stickers stuck on either side … doesn't look colorized to me. Who has them and is willing to peel back the sticker ;-)
edit: Somalia seems to have a similar set of “coins”, does not look like anything official to me

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!
Nuismaster did a terrible job. No pictures, little information. For the sailboats the don't even provide enough information to distinguish the eight types.
I wasn't able to find any information about the source of the coins on the Internet. The Benin government doesn't have any information about any issued coins as far as I can tell. (I tried the main government site and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.) Someone who is fluent in French could try contacting the government. (Possibly start a thread in the French forum to ask for help.)
For many governments I would say official information is needed to move it out of exonumia, but the lack of information on other coins weakens that position for Benin.
Good find. Very similar, including the resolution of the printed image. Finding the manufacturer would give us someone to ask.
I tried searching for a source for the Redonda “coins” and failed. I tried searching for companies that produced stickers to put on coins and found many – but they all seemed to have higher quality images than the Redona and Benin.
