As of now, Kiribati dosn't have a currency code nor exchange rate.

I tought about we could link it to the Australian Dollar (AUD) since that's the official currency of Kiribati, and circulating alongside the Kiribati coins at a 1:1 rate.

For what I can see at least, the Kirabati coins aren't demonitised..?

Thanks :)

The Kiribati coins have effectively stopped circulating.

The same also applies to the Tuvaluan coins as well.

Australian Dollars are the main currency used in both Kiribati & Tuvalu anyway.

We do not show pegs, only when the currencies are the same.

A pegged currency is one that is pegged at a ratio of 1:1.

The Dollars of Kiribati & Tuvalu are the same value as the Australian Dollar.

The currencies of eSwatini, Lesotho, & Namibia are all pegged at 1:1 with the Rand.

Hope we aren't talking past each other now: But what about the Tuvaluan Dollars? Those coins are pegged to the Australian Dollar and not an indpedendent currency, like Kiribati..? Same or at least similar to the Faroese Krónar?

Or is it Tuvalu which is wrong here then?
