Thanks,
Thanks man
Cleaning is cleaning, please take that into account?
Ultrasound and acetone are the only two ways, which I know about, not attacking the coins by any means!

This cleaner is basically a Isoalkanes Aliphatic Hydrocarbon solvent blend similar to mineral spirits.
…which also means you could get it much cheaper at your local gas station, roughly $0.25 per 8 oz., if you provide your own container and pump it yourself, taking appropriate safety measures.
And means it is as safe for the coins as acetone.
If you use either of these products on your coins, please be sure to only do it in a well ventilated place, without any source of ignition nearby. Both acetone, and this product (as well as mineral spirits or gasoline) are highly flammable, and can create an explosion hazard in an enclosed space.

I've read somewhere that coins can be left in vinegar for few hours to do the job. Is it true?
How about zinc coins - how would you clean those?
I have a number of zinc coins with corrosion that appear to be getting worse over time. I'm looking to stabalise them rather than clean them.
PS - I'd only use vinegar if the coin was heavily corroded and clearly not rare, thus damaged beyond redemption anyway (i.e. as a filler until I get a better example). The tiny bubbles when you put a coin into vinegar is a clear sign that damage is occurring, even if it is only at a microscopic level.

Try telling to those who recommended gasoline for cleaning 😄
