Unknown Chinese/Japanese silver coin, possibly early 20th Century [solved]

5 posts • viewed 116 times

Hi there

Please can anyone help with this? 24mm diameter, ~5g weight, similar to Silver 20 Fen coins from China. Non-magnetic. I think it is a ‘2’ something (looks similar to ‘sen’ on Japanese coins), but can't find it online.

Many thanks

Looks like a lucky charm token

Thanks for the pointer - this looks more likely? N#243344

The diameter of mine is off by around 2.5 - 3mm, and given the rarity of the above, I presume mine is a fake, as opposed to some ultra-rare undocumented pattern…

I was thinking the 2 Mace also but without pictures I wasn’t sure and didn’t have time to research it more. I would lean to a copy also.
