Condition I guess you can call as VF. Ottoman Empire / Mahmud II / , 5 kurus,  has got error date.   Date shows ٢٢٣  (Please see pictures below)

Can I ask the valuation of that coin please ? I am not going to sell it but I am only curios about valuation.

It is difficult to identify or determine authenticity without the weight to the nearest tenth of a gram and diameter to the nearest mm. There is a regnal year 25 at the top of the first photo. I wasn't able to find a genuine coin in Krause of quite this design. I'm suspecting this might be a slightly sloppy copy (hence the missing 1 of the date of 1223) of an Ottoman coin, intended for jewelry (a “belly dancer token”).  If so little value, maybe a dollar. However, it doesn't have a hole and shows possible wear, which is puzzling. I do see two marks along the lower rim of the third photo which might indicate it was used in jewelry.

Hello very similar

I think the date is worn or badly struck, the weight?

After seeing the latest photo of the 1 kurus coin with regnal year 25, I can agree that the coin in question is probably this one, and genuine, with some kind of error obscuring the 1 in the date.  This could be confirmed by measuring the weight (2.7-3.0 g) and diameter (28 mm). My guess is that the coin itself is worth a few dollars, and slightly more because of the error.  My 2006 Krause gives a book value for this coin (Turkey KM#597) as $6 in VF. This could have gone up a bit over time, and I think the error adds some value, but coins also often sell well below book value.

Note: weight varies. I don't really question it's authenticity . I do see what I consider remnants of where the (1) would be. Could be explained by a worn die and then obliterated during circulation.

NGC values for slabbed and graded.

I also have no problems with the authenticity.

Same type, same date, slightly lower grade sold recently for 5 euro:  https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot=3777&p=lot&sid=4998

And i higher grade for 21 euro:  https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot=3776&p=lot&sid=4998

Does bot show up in KM as a variety for this date.

I agree with other opinions on valuation, so maybe 15-20 euros.

But who knows, unless you can find a sale price on a siilar error.
