I hope someone here can help me with this.
Earlier today I found my good luck Klondike Dollar I had misplaced about 3 years ago. On a whim I thought I would look it up and see what it might be worth. It turns out it is the rare x example. Here is the link to one of the articles I found which ultimately lead me here. N#52493
The story behind this coin is pretty interesting. During my 72/73 school year we had an assembly where a group of people from Edmonton came and talked to us about Klondike Days. During their presentation one of them thru several coins out to the audience. I caught this one.
They told us they would be good for free parking at Klondike Days. Hopefully that's not the prize associated with it.
I carried it in my pocket off and on the last 50 years as my good luck piece so unfortunately it's not in very good condition. However there is enough detail to see that it is in fact the rare 1972 X. I tried to get some photos with my phone but I need to work on the lighting. When I get good photos I will post them.
The help I need is what it might be worth in poor condition and how I might be able to find out about the prize.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Ironically I ended up in the gold mining business.
