Would it be possible to add the reference catalogue for soviet (then russian) state bonds for 1921-1995 ? this catalogue is also known as the Ivankin catalogue.

I thought we don't add bonds anymore (LINK). Or are these bond funded banknotes?

Sorry if I made a mistake, I'm sometimes lost with exonumia ^^

I'll ask other Admins (but we do have some of these state bonds in exonumia right now, so we should remove them if there is a decision to do so)

Rejected indeed. I deleted reference and will delete the few bonds we already have in the catalog.

Sorry for my error :-)

Hello

May be there is a misunderstanding there.

With soviet state bonds, it's just about keeping them as Exonumia items, not banknotes. I don't see why state bonds, that have been used by soviet government as a mean to pay part of salaries during some years starting December 1st, 1945, should be rejected from Exonumia. They are really falling into the scope of Promissory Notes which are part of Exonumia.

Thank you in advance for your consideration on this.

We have had another thread concerning bonds. Not all bonds are the same, it would appear.

Bonds that circulated as currency in any manner would be admissible on numista, I think.

A set of guidelines to decide what is within the scope of numista ought to be considered prior to deletions being made.

Thank you for the explanation. I can understand how sensitive such future guidelines may be when I see the current content of Exonumia. Hope making the decision will not take too much time.

By the way, all 30+ pages of this section have been already deleted and I have read somewhere else here there is no way to restore them but, if guidelines state positively - what I hope and I support - I have the material to fully rebuild these pages and even more from my collection. I will be very happy to contribute again.
