I have a ¼ Cedid Mahmudiye Rubiyesi minted sometime during the 1830s in the reign of Mahmud II, not sure of the exact mintage year as of yet. There is also a hole which has been drilled in. Was wondering if anybody has seen this coin for sale at some point? Any information regarding a valuation or previous sales would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

 Does not look like a gold coin to me, due to the poor surface quality … 

 

 That and the hole in it. Either brass, or gold plated. See what other members think …
