Hello there!

I would like to bump referee recruitment that is ongoing. You can have a look here for general requirements and free countries: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic119080.html . We are also looking for referees for ancient issuers: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic128267.html

And even if you do not have an experience with catalogue modifications, and you would like to try, let me know, there is so much to do on the catalogue that I can always find something for you to do.

Best regards,

Jarek

Looks tempting. How much time would need to be set aside for site related work?

It all depends on the issuer. Some are almost “dead” with zero requests whatsover and very little to enhance, some would require hour once a week, and some would ammount to full time job…

Thanks Jarcek

Hello Jarek,

while I can spend a few hours during certain weeks, there are whole months at a time when I cannot. If there is no time constraint or can be agreed for certain tasks, I would be willing to give it a try.

On the other hand, I don't have a lot of knowledge, experience or catalogues but as you state that

. . . there is so much to do on the catalogue that I can always find something for you to do.

You can contact me directly if you think that I might be able to contribute,

and perhaps a sample of a simple task could entice other potential volunteers as well ;-)

Hello Jarcek,

I would also love to contribute by being a referee, but I only have specialized catalogues on Canada and the Canadian Provinces. I guess I could do some exonumia with only a few coins and no catalogues needed. I am normally available but rarely will be gone for a week or two on vacation.

Best Regards,

Feefoo

Yes, this is my cat

Hi Jarcek,

I am happy to give it a go.

Hello!

As a sample for everyone, there is “contribute” page with some suggestions: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/suggestions.php

Thanks Jarcek.

The 1st task Replace Small Pictures - do you want new photos taken and submitted.

Yes, exactly. Those links you see there are items you have in collection and we have very small photo of it.

Catalogue administrator

Okay thanks Jarcek, will try and update.

Hi Jarcek,

I have done a few of those in the link you sent.

Thanks! If everyone does that, catalogue would a be a way more complete.

If they are neither clipped nor well framed, hope that the referent will point it out HERE

About the replace small pictures task - I have summitted a photo for one of the notes. Is there a criteria for the photo to be designated small?

Just wondering if my submission will pass the test.

It suffices that one of the dimensions of the image, width or height, be less than 360 for it to remain considered small.
Warning: if it is cropped (when the coin does not touch the edges of the image) it may become too small again.

A couple of the banknotes (in my collection) on that list are in a poor condition. Don't think my photos will enhance the current ones.

Some more dimensions added.
