If I search coins with Series=missing and click on “Search”, this is convert to Series=Unidentified. Correct.

The problem is that the system return different results depending of language:

  • EN: 160642 results. I suppose correct.
  • FR: 183150 results. Some coins have series (e.g. N#93992). Bug.
  • ES: 191065 results. Similar to FR. Bug.

Same in banknotes:

  • EN: 32327 results.
  • FR: 33747 results.
  • ES: 34499 results.

Same in exonumia:

  • EN: 77162 results.
  • FR: 79236 results.
  • ES: 86050 results.

Hello,

It's actually correct to say that the coin N#93992 doesn't have a series in French. The field for series is filled only in English. It is empty in French, so the page display the value in English as a default.

I believe we still want to have this coin when searching for missing series in French, so that it can be added in French too.

More generally, it could be nice to have a database for series, where we could store the name of the series in all languages (instead of translating for each coin individually). We could also store additional data about the context for the series, which could be shown on (or at least accessible from) the pages of all the coin in the series. This is just an idea for the moment and it is not implemented yet.

Ok, I believed the field “Series” was independent of the language, and... a coin is, or is not, from a series always (in English, French or Spanish). 😉

It can be as values from other fields (type, material, shape, tags...). Let's wait for the next updates. 😉

That would be really great.

Maybe the other fields (language specific) could benefit also from this implementation as you may add more languages in the future .

Keep up your good work !
