Is the 2022 King Charles III commemorative 50 Pence now in circulation?

I have seen photos of the coin only in Proof so far.

Aidan.

Due next week 15th or so, but depends whether there is demand for them to be released from cash centres. The supposed last Queens 50p was released today the 2nd harry Potter coin. Will get entries up ASAP

Peter,

  Thanks for the heads up on that.

I would love to get one in my collection here in New Zealand - considering I have met both the King & Queen Consort twice - in 2012 & 2015.

The portrait on the coin looks really like him - unlike those portraits on older coins from The Bahamas, Fiji, & the U.K..

Aidan.

I visited my local post office this morning, and they said they may get some in two weeks time, so may get my hands on a couple.

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

Very good!

Aidan.

What a coincidence! I was asking around just yesterday about them if any banks and post offices had them.😅

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Well on the change checker website they have a map reporting where the coins have been found.

Sadly after visiting 5 banks, 2 post offices and traders at the Peterborough Christmas market. I went home empty handed and I found out from the change checker map there isn’t one that has been found within a 30 mile radius of where I live.

Thanks all :)

And I found https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-casinos/manitoba website where I can easily find those sites where I can play online real money games and while searching for it online, I love your joke and can't stop myself by praising you for that joke.

Finally after visiting several banks and post offices in my area I managed to get the last one from a post office whilst buying Christmas cards.

Nice, I am coming to UK on 28th of January, hopefully will get some. I just realised it does not have the year of mintage on?

Year is at the bottom on reverse

Huh, thanks, I was expecting it on obverse, that's something new on UK 50s I guess.

Some U.K. commemoratives dating back to 1973 have had the year on the reverse. Also most pre decimal coins dating back to the 1600s had the year of minting on the reverse.

You will be please to know Gibraltar also has a 2022 King Charles 50 Pence as well.

This is what it looks like;

I will be getting one - & the British one into my collection in the next week.

Struck at the Tower Mint - & the obverse is a Raphael Maklouf design as well.

Aidan.

Hi Aidan,

Is that a circulating or non circulating coin?

BluHawk

Hi Aidan,

Is that a circulating or non circulating coin?

Not sure - but it is a low mintage one though.

There is a posting about it here;

As soon as I get it, I will be uploading photos of it.
