Asian (?) Coin, one sided

4 posts • viewed 93 times

It only has markings on one side. A gold color metal. No rust or discoloration, but it is showing wear since I use it as a necklace with a silk cord looped through it. Pretty heavy. Outer edge looks shiny and silver, like nickel, inside of center square is gold, with a tiny bit of green tarnish. Researching online, I have found many similar to this, but with small variations and they all look very old, this looks like a newer coin. I don't know if it's an I Ching coin, or a reproduction of a coin, and I would really like to know what it actually is. Thank you for any help.

Thank you for the welcome 😊

Thank you for the answer! I'm trying to look up more information on it, do you have any reference sites you can direct me too? I can't seem to find anything. I'll never get rid of this coin, I really love wearing it. But I'd like to know where it came from, and what it's original purpose was, or how it's actually supposed to be used. That's funny it's a lucky coin, because that's what I've always called it lol.

Have a wonderful day 🙂
