It's a token, not a coin.
The two terms are not mutually exclusive. By one definition of token, all modern coins are also tokens, since they don't contain their face value in metal.

If it is just a prison token, then no, it should not be listed within coin catalogue.
This was officially released for circulation - as the Andaman Islands were themselves a prison colony.

No, they weren't “prison tokens”, they circulated on the islands which happened to house a penal colony.

It turns out we already have an issuer “Andaman and Nicobar” for some fantasy issues, so I've requested this piece be moved to the coin section under that issuer. We also need to add the 1866 type. Does anyone have an image?
