Hi

Can you add this Mint to the catalogue.

Norwich Mint

924-1265 and again between 1696 and 1697.

Norwich

Norfolk

England

This applies to these coins.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Thank you very much.

So do we think this is the same mint that lay idle between 1265 and 1696? Seems unlikely. I think this is misleading to link together these two mint sites unless we have evidence that they were both in the same location.

According to this photo posted on Flickr in 2004 of the Norwich mint plaque it is in St Andrews hall and it’s briefly mentioned on its history page.

While for the older mint it’s possible it was based which is now old mint yard on Fishergate.

Thank you, this would suggest that there should be two separate entries for a mint at Norwich.

Sorry can this be undone because the Norwich mint was active until April 1698 not 1697.
