Could there be an additional section on coin pages regarding the possibility of known fakes?  This is often a concern of collectors, and while seasoned collectors often know what to look for or which coins are commonly faked, beginners often don't.  Maybe have info regarding what signs to check for the known fakes, ie weight, size, magnetic properties, misspelled characters/words.  Then potentially, values of the fakes, when they're sought after, could be added as well?

We had one in the past (LINK) but it's long defunct.

I have occasionally looked at that page but I just thought implementing the information directly to the pages of the coins affected just made sense.  No worries.

Unfortunately, it was decided it was of no interest, so I couldn't even enter my findings. I would like to see it back.

What I suggested exactly but was “voted out” 😏

This might be useful to have.

There are a lot of fakes of Irish coins coming from China, and not just of the rare coins.

The powers of this site are not always listening to the crowd…
