If you have the coins and can take good pictures, you could upload yours to replace the slanted images we have right now.

But be prepared to have them rejected. I submitted perfectly good pictures of some of the latest UK 50p coins to replace the simulated images that are on Numista for the referee to decide he preferred the simulated images.

I would appeal if that happened to me. Simulated images are clear, but they aren't the same as coin images and I wouldn't trust the details to be correct.
They are not simulated coins, the RM produces very high quality images which we have permission to use.
So you think this is an image of a real coin?
It looks too perfect to be a real coin to me. Far too white for a copper-nickel coin.
If it is a real coin it has been enhanced to make it look perfect with not one single blemish..
This is a real coin. (Same coin but different privymark)
But I won't rock the boat on the UK coin pages if members are happy with those kind of images.
I submitted them, they got rejected , C'est La Vie.

Amazing what a good camera, lighting and a studio can do for you!
I agree users photos should be prioritised over authorised sourced although they are some exceptions (for example high valued bullion coins and rare coins for example for the 1933 U.K. penny we would have to use images from the Royal mint museum because no one here at least owns a real one).
I’m pretty sure in the past it was discussed to have photos of coins in year lines (from members only) to prove years exist.

I agree with your statement, but was it intended to be an answer to the question you were asked?
When I zoom in on the first image in that pair of images I see artifacts I wouldn't expect from any coin image. There is a regular pattern around all of the letters and features which then stops between the features. The coin and letter/feature edges don't look like any I've seen from an actual coin image.

Which is why I believe these Royal Mint coin images are computer generated. They are very good clear images of the coins involved, but they are not real pictures taken with a camera of actual real coins that are in the hands of a member of Numista. That is my Aussie 2 cents worth anyway.

To answer the OP's question - yes there is a way that you can add a page for a coin that is not in the catalog. First, read through the guidelines so you know what you are doing. Then you can use this link to add a coin. Once you submit it, a referee will validate it. They may approve it as is or ask you to modify something and resubmit. They also might reject the entry, but should explain to you why they did so.
For any coin page that is already existing, there is a link at the bottom of the page that allows you to submit an edit request, including adding pictures.
