Greetings forum, I just found this coin.  I have not been able to classify it, I request your help.  The coin in question is copper, weighs 8.95g, measures 18mm and I can identify what I believe is the date "1265" backwards, that is, "5261". I did not find anything in Numista, I hope your prompt help.

Someone in India may be able to identify where this is from - as it is from somewhere in India.

Aidan.

Impressive ID. In a quick search I didn't find any coins of Basmatnagar in either Zeno or Krause, but see some listed on the internet.

It seems the date might be a retrograde 1206 (counting the dot between the 2 and 6 as a zero) because apparently Basmatnagar issued quite a few coins with that retrograde date. Here are some examples, though I didn't see a coin matching the one in question.

Impressive ID…I didn't find any coins of Basmatnagar in either Zeno

And yet here they are: ZENO.RU - Search

Difficult to identify when you can't read the script but especially coin number 8 is very similar, also coin number 11 looks similar. It's a pity on both coins the date is off flan, otherwise we could see if there's a retrograde 1206 as well.

And yes, again an impressive ID by Parimal.

Ohhh already like this until denomination and Reference, Thank you very much.  I'm going to try to add this piece to the Numista catalog.

Just a note of explanation: Probably the reason I didn't find the Basmatnagar coins in Zeno is that I was specifying a weight range within 0.5 grams and diameter range within 2 mm of the coin in question.
