It is known that the Numista standards are based on coin descriptions adopted by the Standard Catalog of World Coins. Its basement lays on the numismatics as science, where terms were already developed and approved by experience.

Some of ukranian coins have edge with reeds. This type of edge is clearly described in the Standard Catalog of World Coins

as “Reeded.”  In can be noticed that occasionally another word is used to describe this very edge.  What to do?

Yes it is simple, just apply to correct it.

Here is an example

It returns

It is not the only case. Practically each modification request to correct the absurd (there is no neediness to create new ‘numismatics’ for a special territory, it is scientifically inappropriate) meets rejection.

The referee https://en.numista.com/echanges/profil.php?id=64142 from one side in personal message completely agree with the term “Reeded,” from another side in fact systematically continues to spoil the catalog.

In which way the numismatic terminology used in Numista catalog can be used in this particular article and in other articles about this particular territory?

cyprusalexander strikes again !!!  👎

There is a way now  to appeal/contest a referee decision on a Change Request, why don't you stop publishing this kind of messages.

Regards,

P.S. A friendly reminder, any CR from you for any Canadian coin are still automatically rejected because of your general attitude on the site.

If you disagree with a decision, this is the first step.

I always say ‘Milled’ as ‘Reeded’ sounds so much like playing an instrument - like a clarinet or an oboe.

Good for this referee standing up to Cyprusalexander's unceasing bullying.
