Can we please add… The State Revenue Stamps Catalog, Revenue Stamps and Related Materials of the States of the United States of America by Dave Wrisley (2013 edition)  as a new catalogue listing for exonumia items.

The reference should be SRS#

Stamps should NOT be included on Numista - as Numista isn't a philatelic catalogue website.

Aidan.

It includes other than stamps in the traditional sense of postage stamps eg stamp duty on narcotics or cigars as in exonumia trade voucher of which there are hundreds or thousands on numista

Hello,

I believe we need to put some limits to the Exonumia section. The guidelines currently define exonumia as “Objects of historical interest or collectable items that resemble or relate to coins and banknotes.” and exclude stamps (without specifying which kind of stamps).

I believe tax stamps don't fit the definition of exonumia: they don't have the same usage as coins and banknotes (you can't pay with them; they are a mark that the tax was paid) and they have a distinctive appearance that is common to postal stamps but not to coins and banknotes.

Hence I would prefer to exclude them from the Numista catalogue.
