Good idea!
Start adding your notes, and it will make the creation of a section on Obsolete Currency more likely.
What do you mean by section for obsolete currency? We already have 1000s of old bills in the catalog.

What do you mean by section for obsolete currency?
US banknotes from broken banks, pre-Federal Reserve era.
Quite a generic name, this not an American catalog so the name should be changed if it will ever be realised.

Something like ‘USA, Obsolete Currency’ would be appropriate, with a suitable date bracket.
I am not sure why are Americans so horrified of word “demonetised”.It is still Dollar, right? Just not used anymore, thus demonetized.
There is already a place for obsolete currency. It falls under the “Banknotes” section. Here is an example of obsolete currency.
If you have a banknote that is not currently in the catalog, you can add it here. When you add it, there is a field you can select “Demonetized”, which means that it is obsolete and not used any longer.
Hello, I've been getting into US currency collecting. And that led to obsolete currency. I just bid on and won a CSA note, yet to arrive. (I'm crossing my fingers, it was likely mislabeled. It could be a good deal.) I'm interested in reading up on them. A quick search revealed quite a few books on Confederate currency, for example. What are the best books for Confederate Currency and Obsolete Currency?
I'd like a book or two with good photos, some history of the notes and how to spot fakes. Is there a consensus on a book that's better then others?
