Just a comment that in general the numbers being given for recent circulating Canadian commemoratives are wrong, or at least highly misleading.

They tend to be released in both ‘generic’ and special commemorative wrapped rolls.

For example this coin

N#336633

The actual production volume of this coin is 2 million pieces.

There are 15000 commemorative rolls produced. Each contains 25 pieces for a total of 375,000. The coins are identical, no difference between them based on which roll they are in.

Yet most users are selecting the special roll for their collection.

Maybe unopened rolls should be a separate entry or something.

And somewhere there should be something that actually indicates there are 2 million produced as that is not reflected anywhere in the data.

Similar problems exist for most Canadian commemoratives going back 7 or 8 years.

For those coins, it's better to wait for next year MRC report to get the exact number of coins minted.

This beeing said, you can allways submit a “Change Request” to add mintage “planned” on a MRC publication (Please provide link to source if possible).

I can do that, but I'm not really clear how or if the various special rolls, presentation packs etc belong in the database. Nor do I understand the implications of any change regarding what option people have been picking for their collection inventory.

For example, here's the mint's news release on the Peterson coin https://www.mint.ca/en/company/media-room/2022-08-11-royal-canadian-mint-honours-legendary-canadian-pianist-and-jazz-giant-oscar-peterson-on-new-1-circulation-coin

which gives the 3 million production figures (4th from last paragraph - 2 million coloured and 1 million uncoloured).

Is there something to change, or can it be closed?

The data is still incorrect. The linked example in the 1st post still suggest 3 million mintage. That's wrong , there are only 2 million.

But there doesnt seem to be any means to fix it, so I guess it has to stay wrong and thus ‘fixed’
