As per the press release from The Royal Mint today King Charles III coins will be released next week. Therefore we need to have the ruling authority ready please.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Look here;

I have requested the addition of both the 50 Pence & the 5 Pounds.

So would any new coins and years featuring Elizabeth II on the obverse but minted/released after September the 8th still be grouped under her ruling authority?

I assume coins that are part of the commonwealth that don’t depict the monarch such as Papua New Guinea would have crossover dates where both ruling authorities would apply, same with banknotes that could feature a date after September the 8th.

But the only issue is that the banknotes with no date such as Canada will the notes that are still being printed have both Elizabeth and Charles as the ruling authority?

Good question, there shouldn't be any new banknotes printed with QE2 But there are still some coins that are due for release from RM. We await to see if they are changed to Charles.

Technically if the obverse is the Queen they should be under the Queen but until we face that issue its hypothetical. Probably will be under Charles but with a comment.

Once the monarch has passed away, they can no longer be considered a ‘ruling authority’. Coins released under the reign of King Charles III would necessarily be listed under His ‘ruling authority’. If they feature an obverse portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II then they would be considered ‘posthumous’ issues.

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

I do agree with you there.

Love the new portrait of His Majesty the King!
