Indian Head Cent from 1905 under microscope

I think it is really nice to appreciate the details in a coin that has seen the world and has suffered some wear!

This coin has probably not seen the world, but at most a handful of states in the U.S.

I also can't understand why he (she?) chose such a worn coins to show under the microscope. It would've been more insteresting to see a coin with more details.

Do you know what kind of microscope he (she?) is using?
