I know that the owner of the website CoinQuest uses Numista a lot, but I'm not sure if he ever directly references it. Maybe we can arrange that!

Numista also appeared on French TV "M6" in 2011, in a programme called "Zone interdite : Les inédits de l'été - Les aventuriers de la chasse au trésor", although the programme didn't mention Numista.

Numista, however, is unique. It is rather 'Encyclopædia Britannica' of world coinage, and encyclopedias don't create much buzz these days. Problem is, now we have to deal with an admin who might be stubborn enough not to allow an article to exist, since really, seems like there is not much serious coverage of 'numista.com' on the internet.

i think we all need to start our own blog, where we time to time mention and refernce to numista 
if anyone here is writing numismatic blogs, just mention numista as the best way to identify, and store, your collection, or easiest catalogue to use online etc..

Numista needs to create buzz. People on Reddit r/coins always refer people to Numista when someone asks for coin identification, but the problem is no one writes about Numista and Numista barely mentioned elsewhere on the Internet. I suggest this usage statistics, which usually gets posted as a topic on the forum, should go in some sort of "press release", similar to what like companies do. Another useful thing is to start adding more background info about coins like a bit of history or interesting facts, this will help other websites or news sources to cite Numista as a source of the information. Values will help a lot, once people will start referring to Numista for their coin values, it should create a fair amount of buzz.

It is a little rough, ad will need some work, but here's how far I've come so far (I found an aricle on an equivalent website to Wikipedia so I used that article as a basis for this one).
Here it goes:
Numista is a website containing detailed catalogues of coins, tokens and exonumia. The website is run by its founder, Xavier Rougé, and by volounteers called "Referees". Each catalogue has a referee, who is a volunteering member of the community. The catalogues are being updated and edited daily, and members of the community are providing the catalogues with pictures and information about the coin/token/medal. The website allows collectors to manage their personal collection using the catalog by data input and subsequently matches their swap/wish-lists with other collectors automatically. The Numista catalogues contains of 137,760 coins from almost 300 countries and territories. The Token catalogue contain 25,515 tokens, and the Exonumia catalogue cointains of 11,126 medals, bullion coins, and fantasy issues.
Due to a copyright fued in 2011 with the British wesite Tax Free Gold, Numista has taken drastically efforts to only use pictures that has been created by phorographs of the members' own coins, and several renowned auction houses have given their rights to Numista to use their pictures as references in the catalogue. Each coin in copyright protectect, either by a member or one of the many auction houses and numismatic websites that has given their permission to Numista to use their pictures, and thus using the pictures from the website without getting permission from the owner and the Numita team is violating the copyright law.
Features
The Numista website is free for use, and no premium or other other features you'll have to pay for are available on the website. The catalogues are reated by the users, and all additions are validated by the catalogue editors – called referee. These referees are, like everyone else, regular users with no extra advantages.
Each member can add their own collection to their profile, and also mark which cons you would like to swap. These coins will create a seperate list – a swap list, which can me matched with other users' swap lists. The swap lists are matched with your own collection, and you can easily see which oins you already have, and which coins you have marked in your Most Wated List. When you are about to start a swap, a seperate commnication will be available for the two parties who are about to do a swap.
On Numista there are also Numisdocs, which are numismatic documents written by members who are experts of the subject. It could be how to grade you coins, about modern fakes, and tips and tricks for collecting coins from a certain country. These document helps both the curious beginner and the experienced expert.
