This contest is based on a contest on another website. Although this contest is not official, I hope it will be recognized by numista.
RULES:
1: Every member can enter up to three coins in the following categories:
A. US Coins
B. European Coins
C. Middle Eastern Coins (According to this website)
D. Asian Coins (Not Middle East or Australia and South Pacific)
E. African Coins (Not Middle East)
F. North And South American Coins (Not US)
G. Australian and South Pacific Coins
H. Ancient Coins
I. Other (Tokens, Medals, Fantasies, etc.)
You can only enter one coin in each category.
2. In order to submit your coin(s), you will have to have a high quality photograph, or a scan, of your coin. No need to crop it, I will do that myself. PM me your picture(s). In order to be in the contest, you must submit your coin before November 5, 2012.
3. Voting is quite simple, every member gets one vote for every sub-round. You may vote on your own coin.
4. The sub-rounds will be determined by how many coins are entered. I will only have this contest if there are more than 4 coins in each category. Category I may be eliminated if I receive less than 4 coin for that category. If Category I is eliminated, Category H may also be.

Haha it seems I'll have another reason to "Remember, remember the fifth of November". I'll try to find my best coin since I have so many. Expect some pictures soon!

Remember, you can enter up to three coins. And by "Remember, remember the fifth of November" are you referring to Guy Fawkes Night? I thought it was November sixth!
If you want to submit a coin from Palestine into the Middle East section, you have to make sure that it is from Palestine (British Mandate), and from before 1948. If it is from after 1948, it was issued by "Palestine" which does not exist, and never existed, and therefore its "coins" fall under Category H, not Category C.
Yep. I guess everyone in America (except the native Americans) doesn't really belong...

I'm a bit miffed that the Australaisia and the Pacific doesn't rate a mention and can't be added into the "Other" category since you've stated thats for tokens, medals and fantasies. Half my coins are from the pacific and Australasia.

If you are wondering what I did, I raised the minimum to 6.
There isn't one but it's an AE3, Valentian 2nd, AD 375 - 392.
I'd enter it but after all the recent ill-tempered public outrage over incomplete entries, I think I'll pass on new entries until a degree of civilty is restored. I don't have access to the reference books for ancient coins and don't intend to be pilloried for omiting the RIC#.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
