What is the original language of a 1966 film remade in Spain in 2008?

The winning entry will be the first correct response received at or before 10 AM August 18, 2022 eastern US time. If no correct response is received the winner will be the first response mentioning the participant's favorite remade film. My decision of the winner will be final. Participation is open to all. Good luck to all who choose to participate!

I need to get a wild guess in.  Japanese?

I'll pick my favorite remake as Brian de Palma's Blow Out, a remake of  (the also 1966) Italian Blowup.

You should make the tiebreaker your favorite of the mentioned films.  But your contest, your rules.  Thanks again for the chance.

Another wil guess: Arabic

Perhaps just English? 🙂

They say "Pecunia non olet", but I know better...

waissacs wins! Congratulations, Bill! The Japanese movie was “The Embryo Hunts in Secret” (English title) and in 2008 was remade as “Embrion” (the first time a Japanese film was remade in Spanish). I do not recommend either movie.

Condolences to others. Watch for future giveaways; you may have better luck.

Great!  I hadn't found that movie but I was thinking that horror movies had their time in Spain around then, and there must have been Japanese ones from the 60s.
