Nagorno-Karabakh dram 2004 - Take 2

4 posts • viewed 92 times

Hi,

This is what I was trying to type, yesterday.

Does anyone know much about the two notes issued by Nagoro-Karabakh or the Republic of Artsakh in 2004? Are these two notes legal tender in the disputed region, or just for souvenir? Given the values, it is unlikely you can buy much with these two notes. I have been told by someone from Armenia that these two notes will printed as souvenir only. These two notes are listed under the heading of Artsakh on this site. On one site, it says that these notes were circulation together with the Armenian dram.

Thanks

kai

This is all I want to know, after all, it is almost 20 years now, and unless they have reprints, one would hardly find them circulating now, not to mention the nominal amounts in today's economic environment in that region. I remembered when it first started, these notes were selling for US$10 per set. I recently bought a set, and it is now selling for less than $2.

Cheers
