I had some Estonian notes that are cataloged as printed by Giesecke+Devrient … but apparently the 2006-2007 2kr types were printed in Canada.

Now we only have G+D listed for Germany, but after some searching I found out we also have the G+D from Canada listed, but only with its old name: BA International (closed in 2012).

So this is both a warning that G+D has several printing locations and a request to add the name of Giesecke+Devrient to the already existing BA International, so we can add to the confusion is the printer is only listed as G+D without mentioning the country.

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

To my knowledge, it was printed by BA International so the printer should be BA International and not G+D.

BA International was bought as a separate entity in 1999 and stopped printing in 2012 but printed under its own name be it locally or for foreign countries (BA International and formerly British American Banknote Co.) and not G+D one.

It functioned as its own company even after being bought in 1999 and when G+D “came in” the loop (besides when they bought it), they shut the company down. It was at the time when Canada switched from paper notes to polymer notes.
