The Republic of China period in relation to Taiwan should be divided as this;

Republic of China - 1945-49.

Republic of China on Taiwan - since 1949.

Do we have some coins from these please?

Kingdom of Tungning (1661-1683)

Chinese Empire • Qing dynasty (1683-1895)

Republic of Formosa was created.

Thanks for the recent addition.

Ruling authorities should be listed chronologically, rather than alphabetically right? “Republic of Formosa” is currently showing at the bottom of the list.

Paper money was first issued in the 1860s during Qing rule. https://museum.cbc.gov.tw/web/en-us/history/develop/qing

The article also mentions coins and taels from the Kingdom of Tungning.

p.s. I've also submitted a request for the corresponding currency for the Republic of Formosa: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic122607.html

Republic of Formosa was created.

Shouldn't it be ‘Republic of Taiwan’?

The name ‘Formosa’ is actually a Portuguese name, not a Chinese name.

Aidan.

Although its Chinese name translated to the Democratic State of Taiwan, it was contemporarily known in English as the Republic of Formosa.

Then “Dominion of Ceylon” should also be renamed, as it was called “Lamka dominiyan rajyaya” (Lanka dominion state) in Sinhala, and “Ilangkai melatchi” (Sri Lankan Government) Tamil.

The name ‘Dominion of Ceylon’ was the official name from 1948 until 1972, when Ceylon became the Republic of Sri Lanka.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_of_Ceylon .

Both King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II was the monarchs of the Dominion of Ceylon - & viceregally represented by the Governors-General of Ceylon.
