Best places to buy coins in the UK

Any suggestions for UK-based companies/individuals who sell good quality coins at fair prices?

There is a great coin shop in Bath, Somerset. I live 8 miles away and visit regularly.

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

It depends on where you are, I guess.


There is a good coin shop in Cambridge. There is also a good collectibles shop in Birkenhead which has lots of coins. I would recommend both of these. Afaik, both do mail order.

 

Shows are a good place to get coins and get to know the dealers. Lots of dealers travel round the UK, so might be worth looking at that. Also, have a look at Coin News, most of the active dealers advertise in it.

He is within easy reach of the numismatic trade in both the Republic of Ireland & the U.K..

Dublin Coin Fair in October then, if covid doesn't kill it off!!

Irish, and UK dealers should be there - including some from N. Ireland.
