I have a 1917 US Note, signatures HS and FW. Numista lists 2 varieties of this particular note, one is designated “Fr# 39” and one is designated “Fr# 39*”. I cannot find what the distinction is between the 39 and the 39* varieties. Any ideas???
It most likely is from THIS reference, but because there are already 5 P# , there is no space. But those P# are not explained in the comment section nor are they used in the year line comments. So a little useless if you ask me.
Maybe some member has the catalog and can tell you more.
