Could we please have the “robot” changing all “Bombay” into “Mumbai”? It's a huge effort to do that by hand@

Just look at the year lines at "India" km154 (as an example).

Maybe the robot could also suppress the word “mint” in those year lines?

Or even better take the mint mentions out of the Indian year lines, since the mint marks are already there?

Shall be the last option: mint names shall be removed from mintage lines as we have a dedicated section to summarize mints with their marks, and the mark is indicated at the beginning of the mintage line.

I agree completely, goes without saying so….

Even Indians still say ‘Bombay Mint’, not only for historical reasons.

The name ‘Mumbai’ sounds pretty strange in English, whereas, ‘Bombay’ sounds pretty regal, but this is my opinion.

Aidan.

It's fine to do this for the modern coins but we shouldn't retroactively apply this to the Bombay Presidency. The name change only took place in 1995.

Where we have mints in the mint fields we should get rid of mints on year lines (unless two mints share mintmark or are recognizable by different means). I am on it, it will gradually go away.
