3 Ruble - Russia type? [solved]

6 posts • viewed 107 times

Hello - this is a 3 Ruble from the Russian Empire - however I don't know which year it is from or the type of the note to add to my collection.

If anyone could help, it would be appreciated

Thanks :)

This is your note: N#207700

The real trouble is that there are dozens of signature combinations, fortunately there is a link in the comments section of the page.

The signatures on your note are Shipov & Sofronov, near the end of the date list.

Hello

Is it 1905 or 1912?

Hello

Is it 1905 or 1912?

Hmm, you got me there, didn't notice that the combination appeared twice in the list. The current year list on this page is a mess, it should be reworked.

But I've found out that the first signature of the duo(Shipov) only appears on P#9c (1912 onwards).

For the exact variant I'll have to look in other places, the key will be the letters in the serial number.

Got it: Variant P#9.c.1.9: https://colnect.com/en/banknotes/banknote/45543-3_Rubles-1905-1912_Issue-Russia

Colnect lists every signature variant as a separate page. Most of the time it's an annoyance but it may be useful when it comes to these tricky Russian Imperial notes and their dozens of signatures due to their signature photo showing along with their banknote photo. Some notes here have this, but not all.

Ahhh okay I think I've got it now - 1912? I think
