Here is a list of Canadian banknote issuers;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_banknote_issuers .

Aidan.

Thanks Aidan,

Might be usefull… but sometimes Wikipedia is not a reliable source of info.

Also this Wiki article doesn't have a single source and many red links (so no source on the other page).

Here is more information;

Rejected as there is no interest in opening a ticket to post a wikipedia link…

Sapientiae plerumque stultitia est comes.
Si c'est un grand plaisir d'être reconnu par ses amis, c'est peut-être encore plus flatteur d'être reconnu par ses adversaires.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Wipipedia is not a reliable source of information, because anyone can make edits without peer review.

Sometimes the references on a wikipedia page can be useful sources of information.

For what its worth, the CoinsandCanada site has served me from time to time on:

A) BoC: or Bank of Canada

https://www.coinsandcanada.com/banknotes-prices.php

B) Chartered or Chartered banks

https://www.coinsandcanada.com/banknotes-banks.php

C) DoC: or Dominion of Canada

https://www.coinsandcanada.com/banknotes-dominion-of-canada.php

D) Provincial Banks

https://www.coinsandcanada.com/banknotes-provincial-issues.php

(the above list excludes the Province of Canada banknotes/see below)

For another excellent source on Canadian banknotes try the Canadian Paper Money Forum but you must register to access

THE NOTES section which actually has a registry for Province of Canada; Dominion/Bank of Canada rare notes.

(I had forwarded most of this info to "Gaylor" moderator for BoC notes when I first registered on Numista)

Good Canada resources there.

Having a dedicated community for the banknotes or coins of a country can be a great resource.

There used to be a good one on US notes about15 years ago, but it died. There was also one on Finnish banknotes, but it turned out to be a school project of some kind, and got something completely different after a few years!

- Good to hear you found "CoinsandCanada" useful.  (Their forum, unfortunately, is quite inactive)

Here's my Sites & Forums page (which I try to keep updated) in case you're bored & are looking for some online diversions.

-yes unfortunately many older sites seem to be disappearing (probably due to server costs & lack of support).

Try this site for small sized FRN's & info on their modern issues.
