We do need a referee for Irish coins. However, there was a process started in March to recruit new referees for issuers lacking them.

It might be taking a while but let's let that process complete before we start volunteering others to what can be a time-consuming role.

I think that core coin collectors should be referees for coins.
My main interest is in banknotes, I just dabble in coins.
