Dear All,

I hope you can help me identify these roman coins. I appreciate your time & experience.

Regards,

Michel

C=roman empire,gordianus

D=parthian kingdom?

The others are difficult…need time

Difficult to say,the coins are quite used and the photos not clear at all,even enlarged!

What I could identify is C as an ''antoninianus''(low  silver coin),by the specific crown of the emperors on such type coins.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

What do you suggest to do for better identification?

I am not a specialist in ancient coins but for all who will see your post and will wish to help you ONLY MUCH BETTER RESOLUTION PHOTOS OF BOTH SIDES OF THE COINS MUST BE SEEN FOR THE START OF ANY IDENTIFICATION! Please try to do your best on this path…Good luck!

 I opened the pictures in a separate window, then enlarged - then cropped each one >

Thank you ZacUK

Appreciate your time 🙏

I think A and B is the same coin and emperor.coin F is same emperor like A and B.

but is difficult to read on pics

The difficult is the coin E.i can read :

I M P C ? V L O V I R T V S P F A V G

              L                  E

D seems N#191215

as for A, C & F they seems from Antoninianus - Gordian III  era.

C, is specifically a coin for “Mars, the defender” N#280875  or N#280876 . What do you think ?

Yes .c and d is ok.but the others…

If you find out the emperor than is not a problem to find

F=Tetradrachm - Nero ΑYΤΟΚΡΑ; Alexandria

A+B=Tetradrachm - Nero Alexandria

E. N#316519

What about following this procedure:

Globetrotter
Coin varieties in French:
https://monnaiesetvarietes.numista.com

A,B,C are roman empire ''antoninianus'',C of Gordian is low silver coin,the others more low silver or officially(not faked!) fin silver plated bronze coin(emperors after Gordian).

D is for sure from the Parthian Kingdom(not roman coin) but I cannot say what king struck it.

Thank you all for your feedback.

I wouldnt find them easily without your comments, as i dont have knowledge in antique/roman coins.

Thanks again and have a blessed weekend
