Hi all,

i have old japan coin but cant find it in catalogue.

 

My friend tell me that can be some provincial coin from years 1710-1780, maybe from emperor Momozomo,

Can you help me with it. Thanks for any informations.

 

Look under Japan exonumia.

Looks like some kind of fantasy coin or local token based on the 100 mon. The observe reads “Bunkyū Tsūhō (Bunkyū era currency)” and the reverse reads “48 zeniza (mint)”. The Bunkyū era is 1861-1864.

Yes, you are right, this 100 mon one is very similar, i found it too before i make this post.

Sorry I had THIS in mind but it's different.

The on side looks similar to Tosa Kanken token (but text is different) but the other side should have a denomination and they are extremely rare according to Hartil.
