Short story of this coin: I bought it at a junk shop for $50 bucks. Did not know it was whizzed but given the price the seller probably did. 🤥 They did not tell me it was whizzed. Sent it to grading for $25. When it came back from NGC I had to look up what whizzed was! (I'm a new collector, only in this for about a year.) So I'm not out a lot of money.
PROS: I'd never be able to afford this coin were it not whizzed.
CONS: Having said that I'm pissed 🤬that this coin was whizzed since even is piss poor shape its worth good money. It just did not need to happen.
Anyway… now what? Can I even sell this? If so, for what? (PLEASE NOTE: I would never sell this without telling someone it was whizzed. I have no plans to take it out of the case since it authenticates it as real and AU details which are a plus in my mind. I'm not sure I want to sell it.) In my spreadsheet, how do I value this?
Any advice is welcome.
