The advantage of using the API to look at coins is that you sometimes spot inconsistencies in the spelling of coins.

If you look at N#262204, you see that the value states “¼ Dollar = 25 Cents”. However, if you look at N#189639, the values states “1/4 Dollar = 25 Cents”. Is there a possibility that we all equalize this (preferably automated), so that all the 1/4's are changed to ¼?

Thanks!

They say "Pecunia non olet", but I know better...

What is the preference for ¼ over 1/4?  Just looks? (I do agree it looks better).

¼ is not searchable yet, but will be soon. At that time, all fractions will be changed (by Numista robot) and kept that way.

Yes, looks and consistency.

Based on a post by Xavier a few hours after your post the transition has happened.

(But I did find a bug in the new fraction search which just happens to be connected to variations of the ¼ fraction discussed in this topic.)
