Belgian 50f coins error? Can someone help [solved]

So I got this coin off of a carboot, but it has a part of the date missing

 Is this an error?

Yes, definately a filled die!

 

On any other coin this would be interesting. Unfortunately Belgian coins from the 90's have a tremendous amount of defects (all denominations). Sometimes I think it's harder to find a perfect coin from that era than one with some kind of fault…

Anyway, nice find, I would keep it!

They say "Pecunia non olet", but I know better...

Completely agree with the comment about it being harder to find Belgian coins from the 1980/90s without errors.  I've just started adding ‘error’ coins to my collection and am finding the variation of coins from Belgium difficult to control.   Bit of a lack of QA during that period methinks.
