Does anyone know about any paid online jobs related to numismatics? I'm a citizen of Russia, now I'm in Mexico almost like a refugee. It is too dangerous for me to return to Russia now, because I was in the opposition and do not support the war in Ukraine. I haven't found any job here in Mexico yet. Before leaving Russia, I was an expert in a big numismatic shop. Also, earlier I was a contributor for Krause Publications catalogs, a referee here on Numista, a moderator of another numismatic forum and created my own coin catalog online; but all this was, in fact, volunteering, and now I'm trying to find some kind of income. I'm asking the community for help.
Interesting story. Any reason (if you don't mind saying) why you chose Mexico? (Long time ago I visited some of central Mexico: Mexico City, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Acapulco.)
It sounds like you know a lot about coins and numismatics. I suggest you should be pro-active and send your CV to some of the major players in the field.
Do you have an updated CV, including not only your paid work experience but also your “creative work” in the field of Numismatics? You should also add the languages which you read and decipher competently: Russian, Spanish, etc.
Someone who scans through your CV should be able to feel your competence, for example in different languages. So, if there is something you have done that is originally in Russian, put the Russian with the English translation in brackets.
I have occasionally seen job offers by major coin dealers, especially in the field of ancient coinage, but there is probably a need also for more experts in medieval and modern coinages given that auction prices are going through the roof.

And Mexico… well, it´s much better than Russia in many senses. First of all, the people´s mentality, their history (the Mexicans overthrew 1 Putin-style dictator and shot 2 emperors). I spent much time in this country, more than 2 years in total, but never worked here.

This company works sells coins and jewellery and they have a couple of stores dotted around the country, my mom bought a few gold coins from there in the 90s (before she moved to the U.K.).
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I wish you all the best in Mexico and hope one day you can return to a different Russia.
I`m not sure, but maybe a remote job for ebay is a possibility? They are after all one of the biggest online-platforms for coin auctions:
I have seen your Website, ciscoins, It was Brilliant, But It's Closed 😔😤 or You May Emigrate to the U.S.A.
Banco de Mexico and its shops are very bureaucratized organizations, and I don't even have an official refugee status or working permit.
As for numismatic shops, I think I visited all of them in previous years, in all the cities; and all of these shops are small family-owned businesses. It is worth trying anyway, but the chances are little.
Emigrating to the USA: that's a very expensive country, and first of all, just to think about it, I need a signed employment contract as well as the employer's consent to help me with all visa issues. That's nearly impossible.
And my site… once I found out that my hosting discontinued its ftp service. I just didn´t try to find another one because the amount of visitors was quite low.
Mexico-based coin dealers or auction houses would be your best bet, I think. You might be able to get a position as a contract specialist.
Previous years I visited nearly all the existing numismatic shops in all Mexican cities. All of them are small family-own businesses. It is worth trying anyway, but the chances are little.
And a Mexico-based auction house… I haven't even heard of one.

Thank you, but the Casa de Moneda de México is a very bureaucratized organization, and I don't even have an official refugee status or working permit.

If it becomes possible to upload a picture for each year of issue (to confirm their existence), then I can participate. But for now, I can only correct the weights and diameters of some coins, nothing more.

As I understand this is not online, but “PCGS is also looking for help with our online World Coin Price Guide. If you're an expert in world coin prices, and want to do something with PCGS, then let us know.”
My personal list of scammers from Numista: erniemix, yvain, CassTaylor

Hi Ivan,
I have looked at your LinkedIn profile. It is impressive, however with only 5 connections, you are probably almost invisible. Connect to as many people as you can to improve your visibility, especially people from numismatic circles (I have sent you an invitation to start…) Surprisingly many people find jobs on Linkedin, so I suggest doing some job search on Linkedin.
Not numismatic related, but have you tried translating jobs online? Russian to english, or spanish if you are fluent. I'm mexican and the current economic situation is not good as you may see.

Yes, I tried this already. And also I tried teaching Russian online. Completely no result.
