Roman coin [solved]

4 posts • viewed 137 times

Hello,
I bought this roman coin today and I'm not sure from what emperor is it from. I'm torn between Constantius I Chlorus or maybe one of the emperors of the Gallic Empire. Can you help?
Thanks in advance,
BCM

Maybe claudius II Gothicus.but not sure

Yes, Claudius II seems likely. With better pictures it would certainly be possible to read some letters in the legend.

The reverse is rather common, so at least a couple of letters would allow us to narrow it down.

From the type of crown on the roman emperor's head,it seems to be an ''antoninianus'',denomination struck in low silver or even bronze plated with silver.
