Somalia 1000 Shilin

Hey all,

I am not sure if there is a problem or not...

But we have two listings for the 1000 shilin. One is P# 37, and the other is P# R10.

Our listing for P# R10 says that the 1000 in the center of the front should be purple. But ours shows a green 1000.

When you go to our listing for P# 37, I am seeing the 1000 in the center of the image is a green 1000.

I have a P#37 for 1990 that has a green 1000. and I have a 1996 issue with a green 1000.

What does everyone elses notes look like?

My note is actually the specimen pictured on P#37, 1990 with purple numbers. I don't think I created the page, presumably supplied a photo to replace a poorer quality one, and almost certainly made my own identification using the information available here.

However, banknote museum seems pretty sure about this:

In summary, green numbers = Somalia P#37, violet numbers = Puntland P#R10. P#R10 was issued in 1990, not 1996 as our page suggests. We have the photos backwards and incorrect date for P#R10.

Do you want to do the edits or should I submit them?

I have three versions of this one. One with green 1000, one with purple 1000, and one with green 1000 but seven digits in serial number.

 

One is supposed to be for Puntland, but noone seems to know which one. 🤷

Also, note that the font of the serial number is different on all of them.

My fonts are different.  But it seemed to be also different years that had the different font.  I also have an F prefix. ..

The 1996 has seven digits, but the other two are both dated 1990, but the have different colour on 1000, and the font of the serial number is different. One is supposed to be Puntland, but no one seems to know which one. 🤷
