Bought as Templar, France, Burgundy 1218-1270

I don't quite think it is templar. It doesn't have the two knights on one horse like most Templars but suspect it is France. It has a cross look many early Europe coinage. Looks copper 1.1g 0.75mm thickness and 18mm diameter.
Duchy of Burgundy denier. You can tell from the mint name DIVIONENSIS (Dijon). (feels a bit like deja-vu :))

Thank you kindly. I even previously looked under the Burgundy page. Probably overlooked it from the difference in color. And I presume it isn't affiliated with Templars.

My "deja-vu" comment was because some of these coins got posted a few days ago on another forum.

Not Templar. It was issued by Hugh IV, Duke of Burgundy. I wasn't aware that Templars struck any coins, but my knowledge of medieval issuers is not comprehensive.
I know that other "orders" struck coins in Malta, and the Baltic (Teutonic Order, Livonia).

There are unscrupulous sellers of coins who take any coin with a cross that was minted vaguely in the medieval era and assign attributions like "Crusader" or "Templar."
There ARE coins that were minted in the "Crusader States" (Middle Eastern states ruled by European nobles in the 12th-15th centuries). You can do your research by looking through this section in the catalog before you buy. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/orient-latin-1.html

You do have some interesting and historic medieval coins in your collection!
Bonjour denier pour hugues V pour dijon
