I tried to read the legend without succes. I think is double hammered. Too many owl heads for me🤣. .

There are many with thar shild (coat of arms )and patriarhal cross, but not like this.

"Contemporary" = made at same time as the authentic coin (not modern).

Also, I agree that the cross side may have been double struck (or struck over some other coin). For what it's worth. I am seeing this lettering from 12:00 in ZacUK's photo of the cross side:
✿n(inverted) ЄЄInC (unreadable part) Є (another unreadable part) Є · A(inverted and overstruck on?) ·

Indeed, too many owls 8~
