Hi friends,

I see the price/value of my collection in the "My Coins" section is getting lower and lower even if my collection is increasing in size and coins.

I get that Estimate Value could get up and down, but "My Values" should only increase since I didn't remove any coin and added tons of new ones.

I see the value decreasing both in "estimate" and "my values".

Since last month, my collection lost around 11-12% of value. But I added loooots of coins in the meantime.

Am I getting something wrong?

Hi. This was explained a while ago in another post. It has to do with inflation and the exchange rate of the currency you view your values in with euros at the time you entered those values vs. the exchange rate today. Rather than try to explain (which I'm not sure I could) I'll just send you to that post:

I am not sure if I completely understood, but if so, something is wrong.

Lately my local currency is getting stronger compared to EUR and USD, so does not make sense that the value of my collection is getting lower.

I didn't make the math but seems there are much more loss of value than just exchange flutuation.

From the last few months my collection value is USD 3.000,00 less than before, but I added lots of new coins, so the value is much more.
That's weird.

By comparison, the "My values" for my collection is 8.2% lower than the actual values I used when entering the coins. I don't usually look at this number so I can't tell how much change has happened recently.

I think it's because most prices are listed in dollars, and US dollar (USD) exchange rate versus real (BRL) has dropped dramatically in the last months. Brazilian high interest rates have attracted foreign speculators, increasing the dollars supply in Brazilian markets, dropping its price.

Today, 1 USD = BRL 4.69. Three months ago, 1 USD = BRL 5.65.

Hello.

I was going to start a thread, but then saw this one. I have noticed a few times now that after adding some coins, the values drop. We are talking in the space of a few minutes, not weeks or months.

Please see screenshots below.

A. Take approx 10:50am today

B. Taken approx 11:00am today.

Even the ‘my values’ field has dropped which makes no sense to me at all. I didn't even touch that field in the new coins added.

I am convinced the values are not working, my values are always down to down, even if I added tons of new coins, and the USD is staying the same range with my country coin.

No idea.

I fond out WhatsApp wrong in my case.

Estimated value on 10 dihrham 1331 in AU go crazy. 😀

Lost like virtually all valuations have disappeared in the last hour or so.

Well yes, it seems that Numista's value system is failing, it's happening to me too, it's as if all the prices had vanished.

Hello,

There is currently a bug with values. A fix has been deployed and values are progressively getting back.

This has been happening to me also, my collection value seems to go down almost daily, despite adding new coins. Extremely aggravating, since this was one of the main features I used on this site, to keep track of how much was spent on one coin or note.
