It may be a rather pedantic remark, but, on the Numista map, the Bahia mint in Brazil is shown near the geographic center of the state, while it's known that it operated in Salvador historical center (sources).
Because of the Siege of Salvador, a secondary mint in Bahia was established in the Villa de Cachoeira, to serve Brazilian soldiers. The 80 réis 1823 B issues from are sometimes believed to be minted in Cachoeira, not Salvador (other attributions are more controversial); but, because it's a more complicated discussion, I can open a separate topic for that.

GPS coordinates have been updated. I also updated the modern-day place name.

The mint was located in the Salvador city, located in the Bahia captaincy (now Bahia state). But it's usually referred as the Bahia mint, not the Salvador mint, and it used a mintmark "B" or "BBBB".
So I'd keep "Casa da Moeda da Bahia" as the mint name, but use "Salvador, Brazil" or "Salvador, Bahia, Brazil" as the location.
The city was always named "Salvador" (short for "São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos") since its foundation in 1549, so the "modern-day" expression seems misplaced. If a qualifier is needed, it's also known as "Salvador da Bahia" in Portuguese and English.
There was no renaming, it was "Bahia" and is still the same "Bahia" as it is commonly used to refer to this mint.
What changed is the addition of the mention "modern-day Salvador de Bahia" to provide an additional information on the location. This is common on Numista to indicate current location when the base name is not the same or has evolved over time or is used differently.
