We're at the brink of an all-out cyber war and no matter which side of the forthcoming conflict you are - anything online will be vulnerable.
Is this about Russia-Ukraine? My apologies for being so obvious...:|

If it was just "Russia-Ukraina" I wouldn't worry too much. Regretfully, it is much wider!

What do you know, and what have you done?

What I know is that cyber is the new and powerful weapon with a range much wider than any cruise missile. And - both sides have it and (will) use it.
What I have done (already a long time ago) is to have 3 offline copies of all the important files and they're kept in 3 different locations (3 cities). Kind of pain in the back side to update them once a month, but worth it. Two years ago I experienced a ransomware attack and simply formatted the PC, without losing anything or paying the ransom.

Well, I mean this was news in 2002. Cyberattacks are made daily and hackers are working 24/7. Main targets are world leaders and politicians, though.
What I was, jokingly, trying to say was that this was something you were about to do. ;)
All my stuff has always been backed up on hard drives.

A USB stick with your back-ups it's also a good choice.
Cents are money too!

Well, I would worry if my internet connection had a static IP, if I only had one computer, if I only used Windows and if my harddrives weren't 1 TB USB-sticks that also works as back-ups. I can understand that you would have more than one copy of back-ups, but why do they have to be in different cities?

Earthquakes, fires and - here in Israel - repeated rocket attacks by our peace-loving neighbours. To name just a few main reasons.

I have invested in a Honeywell Fire and Waterproof Chest as security against fire and water. Rocket attacks is not likely here, perhaps somewhere in the hoods. I have no experience with earthquakes. Wouldn't the rubbles be excavated at some point?

Probably. By archeologists, in next millennium 😂
When it comes to being hacked, I would be more concerned about wi-fi settings and using cordless keyboard and mouse for the computer. Especially in densely populated areas.

cordless mouse/kb range is only 2 meters. how densely populated are they over there!!??😨

I like to think about the archeologists and geologists of the future!  but think 20,000,000 years - amazing concentrations of pure  metals, in a thin layer, copper, silver, gold and platinum, tungsten, chromium, molybdenum and nickle too,  in globules among the fused sediments …

Two meters in my place is on the other side of the wall, where anyone can have access (yes, I am paranoid about this). 🤓
